A Heart for the Homeless:
You will be excited to hear about a new patch program called "A Heart for the Homeless" where Girl Scouts can learn about the issues facing homeless families in their communities and find out what they can do to help.
Each year, an increasing number of families across America struggle to find living wage jobs, and as a result more and more families find themselves experiencing episodic or chronic homelessness. Children are most acutely impacted by this experience.
A Heart for the Homeless program is available for use by any Girl Scout Troop or individual Girl Scout Juliette.
All of the information necessary to complete the patch program and order patches ($1each) can be accessed from www.bridgecommunities.org.
